" Heavy rains in early November surprised us, but in hindsight, they were a blessing because they filled our  reservoirs. Spring ushered in a long frost season, which lingered into mid-May. A cool summer allowed for an even development of the fruit. By early August, veraison pointed to a mid-September harvest, but Labor Day resulted in an extended heatspike, pushing harvest forward a week. By September 13th all of our fruit was picked. The 2022 wines are showing great freshness and acidity. Bright red fruit with delicious tannins frame thewine. These last vintages have taught us to beflexible and responsive to the season, rather than follow a set style. The 2022 wines are light on their feet, mirroring their Old World siblings."

A blend from a few vineyards stretching the length of the Sonoma Coast, this has a red cherry character with a touch of tea-leaf, very elegant with fresh acidity, fairly light body, fine-grained tannins, great length and huge charm."
