The object of Pleiades is to be delicious, delight the jaded, irritate the wine police, and go well with anything red wine goes well with. Each component is vinified and aged in small quantities by traditional Thackrey artisanal practices. They produce premium single-sourced varietal wines, then age them individually before blending into the final composition. Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Carignan, Pinot Noir, Viognier, and Petite Sirah all play a role in this performance. Fragrant and voluptuous when first released, it will become far more subtle and complex with age; as of course, we all will, but such restraint may just be too much to ask...  Perfumed dark fruits fill your glass when first opened and are followed by a brightly focused core of red berries, baking spice, and juicy acidity. A wine truly greater than the sum of its parts, eternally varied in composition but always tasting as Pleiades should.
