Kolfok Querschnitt Rot 2019
Rotburger (Zweigelt) from 3 different vineyards of Mica slate in the Neckenmarkt mountains with around 5% Syrah. Half of the grapes destemmed, half whole grapes fermented in closed casks for almost 100 days of carbonic maceration, Pressed and moved to 500L and 225L barrels, matured on lees for 10 months. No added sulphur at any stage and bottled unfiltered. Intense purple colour, aromas of black cherry and marzipan, flavours ripe and rich, with black cherry, even Black Forest Gateau. Finishes ripe and savoury. Deliciously drinkable with or without food.
