A 15 acre parcel of rolling terrain on sandy loam soils. Machado is dominantly planted with Pinot Noir (clones are Pommard, Merry Edwards, Mount Eden, and 459).

Whole bunch fermented with neutral oak maturation. Intense aromas of cherry, rhubarb and mint, flavours of blackberry and allspice underscored with black tea: structured, savoury, earthy and textured, complex and long.
