From 40 year old vines on light, sandy and granitic soils on terraces facing south-southeast. 100% Syrah, 100% de-stemmed. Fermented in stainless steel for between 15 and 21 days and matured in barrel for 18 months.
From the cool 2017 vintage this feels altogether more classic than the rich and ripe 2018s. Aromas are earthy and meaty, texture is a little more granular, the fruit red rather than black with a distinctive savoury and black pepper character. Elegant and refined.
