From 20 year old vines on light, sandy and granitic soils on terraces facing south-southeast with yields around 37 hl/ha. 100% Syrah. 100% de-stemmed. Fermented in stainless steel for 15 to 21 days. Matured in barrel for 12 months.
Sparkly, bright purple in colour, this looks appealing from the off. When you sniff it, an abundance of impressions hits you: black olive, a little gaminess at the same time as violet and lavender-scented florality. The taste continues in the same vein with raspberry and strawberry fruit added to the mix and surprisingly soft tannins. It's soft, concentrated, yet elegant with long length. This is brilliant wine which you can drink now or over the next 6 to 8 years.
