100% Shiraz grapes from three specific vineyard sites in Swartland, Helderberg and Polkadraai. Crop loads of 450g per vine (4 bunches), picked at full phenolic ripeness. Berries hand selected and de-stemmed. Vinification in small oak barrels, soft hand-pressing and then ageing for 18 months in 200% new French oak barrels. No machinery or mechanical equipment used at all. 608 bottles produced. Dark and intense with seductive, velvety fruit with an underlying elegance and very opulent palate feel.
