Soter North Valley Pinot Noir 2013

Mostly aged in previously used French oak barrels (just 10% new) so as not to transmit overt oak influence with 15% fermented whole cluster.  Intriguing aromatics reveal cranberry and spice supported by savoury undertones. Entry is silky and rich with a core of sweet red fruits. Significant breadth across the mid-palate with notable weight and density carrying ripe, black fruit. Persists with an inherent energy, delivering ample grip while remaining delicate and juicy. Savoury spices linger amid cherry and earth, finishing with elegance and purity.
