The full spectrum of Pinot Noir clones is represented here. Older traditional California selections such as Martini, 2A, and Pommard are complemented by the more recently available Dijon clones (115, 828, 667, 777), as well as low vigour selections from the Swan and Calera vineyards. 90% from estate grown vineyards with the balance from vineyards under contract. Moderate cold soaks (4-5 days), a warm fermentation (28-32°C), and minimal punchdowns (twice a day or less). Aged 8-10 months in French oak, 33% new. Bright ruby colour with violet hues on the rim. Blackberry and briar patch come forward in the initial aromas and evolve into high-toned cherry and bergamot orange. Flavours of dried black cherries and savoury herbs complement the bright acidity and supple tannins which frame a lingering and silky finish.
