100% Carignan Noir. Bush vines, 30-60 years old. Hand harvested. 100% Destemmed, with sorting table. 3 week maceration, foot-trodden 2-3 a day. 10 Months in barrel, 1yo 400l French Oak. The name comes from a friend of Andy’s who first made this cuvée. After 3 weeks of foot treading his legs were stained red, and as he is from Boston and a massive Red Sox fan, they thought the name was appropriate! No fining, and a light filtration at bottling.
