Claudio Alario Barolo Riva Rocca 2012

First produced in 1995 in the area of Verduno which has proved particularly well suited to the production of Barolo. The vineyard faces south-west and the vines are over 50 years old. Production runs at around 1000 bottles per hectare. The wine spends 24 months in barrique before being moved into tank. This is a modern styled Barolo with a deep ruby colour, aromas of rose with mint and liquorice. Flavours are full yet balanced thanks to the sweet and elegant tannins. Plums and strawberries. Full body with rich, ripe fruit and velvety tannins.
