Brewer Clifton Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2013
100% estate Pinot Noir from two vineyards within the AVA. 3-D and Machado both contribute to the wine which exhibits a drive, richness and pedigree expressive of this special growing area coupled with the purity of fruit and firm structure which have been the trademark of Brewer-Clifton. Neutral Sirugue barrels are used for 12-18 months. Whole cluster fermented. Brewer-Clifton farm with a focus of ripening the stems alongside the fruit, allowing the cluster to be in harmony. Working with the stems allows for wines that are structured, earthy and balanced with the ripe SRH fruit. Aromas of pomegranate, blood orange, white tea aromatics with flavours of spice, dried fig, and white truffle. Complex, simultaneously savoury and fruity, with an elegant touch and a long finish.
