The Willamette Valley cuvée features fruit grown on select vineyard sites in Yamhill County. It benefits from the same integrity in the winemaking process as the estate wines. The sites are farmed sustainably and managed to very low yields. It is not fined or filtered.The wines are aged in the same French oak barrels as the estate bottlings, although the percentage of new oak is intentionally lower. This cuvée consists of wine made from the following vineyards: Zena Crown, Beaux Frères,Gran Moraine, Amalie Robert, and Upper Terrace. It is a medium to full-bodied wine with sweet tannin, fresh acidity and an intriguing bouquet of “foresty” underbrush, red currants and black cherries. With a hint of Asian spices it has undeniable charm, silkiness and velvety texture. A great example from one of Oregon's top-flight wineries that is drinking really well now and will continue to improve over the next 8-10 years.
