From twelve estate vineyards in Washington covering nearly 2,000 acres. The Riesling is from the Yakima Valley, the oldest and most diverse region of the state. The Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Columbia Valley, the largest wine growing region of Washington, where the northerly latitude provides two hours more sunlight per day than in California. This develops fruit intensity, while cool evenings and nights promote higher acidities. Well-drained sandy soils have low fertility and low water-holding capacity, allowing precise control of vine growth patterns.
