A blend of multiple vineyard sites and clones which include Dekleva, Combret, Old Wente, Prosser, Hyde-Wente, Mt. Eden, Calera,  and Dijon 76, 95, 96, 548. Vineyards are 30% Dekleva, 29% Sunset, 20% Jagged Rock 11% Combret, 10% Border Vista. 32% of the blend was from native ferments, maturation was 65% French oak barrique (41% new), 25% foudre & 10% concrete egg.

A hint of green in the colour is the first clue that this Chardonnay is cooler in style you might expect, and although there is plenty of richness and a bit of weight, the oak is well balanced, contributing less vanilla than a rounded palate with a touch of lanolin. There is stone and orchard fruit and lithe acidity, the finish developing engagingly with herbal and graphite notes, leaving an impression of generous finesse. A fabulous balancing act between concentration and richness on the one hand, and finesse and elegance on the other: consummate Chardonnay
