Monastrell
100% Monastrell. Native to Jumilla in south-east Spain, and otherwise known as Mourvèdre. The grapes used in the production of this wine are grown in Luzon's Castillo de Luzón vineyard at 700 m above sea level with a maximum yield of 4000 kg per hectare. The harvest took place during the end of September 2005 . The grapes were handpicked. Maceration lasted 15 days with the temperature maintained between 24ºC and 26ºC. The wine was macerated in contact with the skins before being deposited in French and American barrels during 4 months where the wine reached its sweetness and aromatic complexity as well as balance on the nose and palate. 100% Monastrell. Notes

Garnet colour, aromas of nuts, red fruit and roasted coffee. Smoothly rich with silky tannins, flavours of blackberry and spice, coffee and cocoa.
