Rosado
Grape varieties: Monastrell (Mourvèdre) and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Castillo de Luzon vineyard. To obtain a rosé wine the grapes are put in the fermentation tank after crushing. The juice quickly enriches itself in alcohol with and the temperature rises. With the skin contact the colour quickly diffuses. The winemaker chooses the intensity of the colour by checking a sample every hour. Finally the must is transferred to another tank to begin the fermentation process. By using temperature control this is kept below 17ºC in order to avoid losing characteristic flavours during the fermentation process. Notes
Luzon's rosé shows a beautiful pink colour. Intense cherry and strawberry aromas lift from the glass and are echoed on the palate. It is a nicely balanced wine with smooth tannins and good acidity for pairing with most foods or drinking on its own.
