Conundrum is a rich blend of 4 main varietals (with the possible inclusion of small amounts of others, but they remain the winemaker's secret). These are Sauvignon Blanc (from the Napa Valley), Chardonnay (from cool Monterey), Viognier (also Monterey), and Muscat Canelli (Tulare County). Each varietal adds its character to the mix, resulting in a wine that is almost dry with spice and richness, the lushness of the Muscat complemented by a fresh finish. The lots are all fermented separately, mostly in barrel with a variety of different barrel ages and coopers.
