Arcadia Vineyard Chardonnay

Cool to moderate temperatures prevail here in this vineyard just east of the town of Napa. The flinty, citrus-spiked fingerprint of this vineyard-designated Chardonnay originates not only from the vineyard’s soil structure and mesoclimate but also from the clonal material selected in SLWC's replanting efforts. Block 2, which will take the leading role in future vintages and contributed over 40 percent of the blend, was planted with original clonal material selected from Block 1, which has been the backbone of this wine in previous vintages. Notes

ARCADIA VINEYARD Chardonnay’s vivid perfume, elegant balance, and bright acidity are all evident in this vintage. The characteristic bouquet of jasmine tea is accented with a hint of candied lemon zest, while in the mouth there’s bright apple and citrus flavours, a slightly creamy texture, and a signature flinty note. Smooth yet crisp, the wine offers great purity of flavour all the way through the lingering finish, which is accented with hints of vanilla and biscuit.
